415 VISTA RD. → OUR 'BEFORE' HOME TOUR!

DISCLAIMER: This is not a sponsored post.

Hello, my pretties! ♥

It has been a long time since I posted anything around here. I needed a major breather and some time to adjust to everything that meant becoming a first-time homeowner. Fortunately, we're past the sticker shock period and now we can start seeing the house with loving eyes once again and truly discover all its potential. Also, we're now ready to share with you our new home! 😊

I have been meaning to do this post for a long time but, the reality of it is, as much as we were excited to buy our first home, we felt we were in way over our heads. We have always lived in very small apartments (950 sq. ft. or less). Although we thought we were prepared to be homeowners, we had no idea! It was so overwhelming. It was daunting to see ourselves living in a big space that needed so much to have done. We were clueless as to where to begin, what rooms to paint first, what furniture to purchase, etc. The house is not even close to being finished but, after a couple of months of living here, now we have a much better idea of what to do and where to start.

Now... The images I'm showing you today were taken the week we first moved in, hence why you'll see a lot of rooms practically upside down and boxes everywhere. The house as of the time of this post does not look like it does in these images. We have been working on the landscape, painted a couple of rooms, have slowly been furnishing and decorating. We're nowhere near done, but this will give you a rough idea of what our home looked like when we first came in. As things progress and we complete projects, I will show you in more detail what we have done and you'll be able to see the 'before' and 'after' of each room.

For now, I leave you with these images. Enjoy this "before" tour of our entire home. 🏡💕

SIMON'S BEDROOM
The top 2 images are what his room looked like when we first saw the house.
The furniture in the images belong to the previous homeowner.
The walls were painted in bright terracotta. We decided to paint it the first week
of us moving in, so the boys had a space of their own space fairly quickly.

This is what the room looked like after painting it.
We went with Behr Premium Plus Ultra Interior Semi-Gloss Enamel Paint
in  Ozone #UL220-7, which is a very soft blueish teal with grey undertones.

MASTER BEDROOM

Since we were still painting Simon's bedroom for both boys and Lucas' bedroom
looked like all the furniture had exploded in there, they were sleeping in our
bedroom temporarily...
Which explains why this room looks also like it's upside down... *sigh*

Thanks for stopping by... Hopefully, next time the house will actually look clean... 😉
