Hello, my pretties! ♥

Fall is my favorite season of the year. I'm originally from Palm Springs, CA where it's extra scorching hot for a good portion of the year. When the weather starts cooling down, we welcome it with open arms & hearts. It's the perfect excuse to layer on outfits, plan out your accessories and have fun with fashion. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for this Fall 2015 campaign with Macy*s and Latina Lifestyle Bloggers Collective!

Honestly, when thinking of department stores that are always at the forefront of fashion and beauty, I definitely think of Macy*s. With its vast selection of brands, products and styles, one can always find any type of clothing, accessories or cosmetics that are current and on trend for our closets. It's always fun to be able to walk into a store having an idea in your head of what you want and actually be able to find it. The magic of Macy*s is always there to help. This time is no exception.

This year, there are 3 main trends in fashion & beauty for Fall 2015: Boho Chic, 70s Revival and Athleisure. I was sent products from the Boho Chic category and, right away, I got to play to see how I would style them. Keep reading below to give you three great ideas on how I paired up the items I was sent by Macy*s. For specific product information, just make sure to check the end of the page. Enjoy!

I'm a pretty minimalistic girl when it comes to fashion but still like to look refined and feminine without having to pull all the bells & whistles. If there is one thing I'm always after is comfort. Being the mom of 2 very active boys, I always try to look sophisticated while still feeling comfy. Most of the time, I will amp things up with glam makeup and a cute pair of earrings. Matter of fact, I never leave the house without wearing earrings. I feel naked. I know... I'm a weirdo. Don't judge me.

For the makeup look you see in the images above, I used the Macy*s On The Go Eye Palette to achieve a smokey warm neutral eye that is perfect for Fall. I kept all the smoke on the outer third to keep the eyes looking open and not heavy. I paired it up with a deep brown lip color that had some mauvey undertones and rosey-pink blush to keep things playful and fresh but still Fall-inspired.

To classy up a basic ash grey long flowy top & black leggings outfit, I wore this gorgeous pair of crystal earrings with leather tassel detail. I loved that the tassels were a basic tan, which added a bit of color to the outfit without stepping too far away from the neutral palette I was going for that day. Since the earrings have a very intricate design, I opted to not wear any other jewelry to make them the stars of the show!

"Neve Campbell would be proud!" (as my friend Kat would say) to see me recreate her look from 20 years ago (can you believe it's been that long?). For this makeup look, I once again used the Macy*s On The Go Eye Palette. This time, however, I kept things very minimal by only giving the eyes a soft contour to create a bit of depth & dimension. On the lips, I kept the brown theme going by applying a brown lip gloss to add a touch of color & shine. My contour & highlight was very soft and the cheeks had a soft peach blush just to give them some color without taking away from the cleanliness of the look.

I'm a huge fan of maxi dresses & denim jackets and fall is the perfect time to pair them up. For the outfit itself, I threw on my favorite black maxi dress, a denim jacket & some flip flops. Hey, it's Southern California where it's still flip flop weather. I chose this dress because of the cute boho-inspired detailing on the chest. It's very understated but it gives the eye some pattern without feeling excessive. To make this outfit look and feel extra special, I added a felt floppy hat. Floppy hats are always so fun! They add an extra touch of elegance to any simple outfit. I totally recommend adding one to your closet for those days when you get the need to feel sophisticated but don't want to dress up.

LOOK #3
Denim on Denim

This particular outfit is a combination of the previous two. As you can see, you don't have to feel constricted to one specific "style" or item when it comes to trends. In other words, you don't need to see the Fall Boho Chic trend as a rule you must follow. You can take pieces you like from it and play with what you already have in your closet, combine it with your own style and have a Boho Chic-inspired outfit that will work perfectly for you.

For this outfit, I wore a simple black & white pinstriped t-shirt, a black pair of jeans & a vintage-wash denim jacket. I also wore the same earrings and floppy hat. As you can see, I took elements from the Boho Chic trend and created an inspired look that would mesh perfectly with my own personal style: comfortable, clean, classic & trendy all at the same time.
Yes. It is possible! ♥

The nails! ♥

One last thing I want to mention is nails. Oh dear Lord! Have I been into nails lately... But hey! It's not a problem until you admit it is... ;) This Venice Collection by O•P•I is beyond perfect for Fall. The colors are gorgeous and absolutely luscious but doesn't fall (ha!) into the predictability of Fall colors. By the way, a great trick to really loving all of your mini nail polishes is to wear one color per nail. I honestly feel this is the only way to give the entire collection the spotlight it deserves. I did the same manicure on both nails and simply adore how it came out. It is so much fun!

I recommend you check out Latina Lifestyle Bloggers Collective's Facebook page to see more in depth videos with all the trends and how to style them. Below, I've posted a small video that showcases Macy*s Boho Chic trend for Fall 2015 in all of its glory:
