Full Face using GLOSSYBOX & ipsy [May 2015 Products] {MOTD}

Hello, my pretties! ♥

Since May 2015 was the first ever month that I received any subscription boxes, I thought it would be fun to play around with those products to create a makeup look. I tried to keep things very simple & clean, but still classy. Since Summer is right around the corner, I thought this would give you some great ideas on how to incorporate a bit of color into the look without going full-on rainbow-style! Of course, I added several products that are already part of my collection & currently on my constant rotation. If you are curious what I did to achieve the look on the image, just keep on reading.

Enjoy!

SPECIAL NOTE: Products marked with an asterisk (*) are from ipsy.
Products marked with † are from GLOSSYBOX.

Hello, my pretties! ♥

I am gearing up to receive my 2nd ipsy Glam Bag and, since a couple weeks ago I shared with you my thoughts about GLOSSYBOX (you can check my review of that box here), it would only be fair I share with you my thoughts on this beauty subscription service as well. If you have been or are curious about ipsy, feel free to keep reading and find out whether this service is worth getting.

Enjoy!

Daytime Drama Makeup Look feat. Kat Von D's Shade + Light Palettes {MOTD}

Daytime Drama Makeup Look feat. Kat Von D's Shade + Light Contour Palette & Eye Contour Palette {MOTD}

Hello, my pretties! ♥

It has been a long while since the last time I did an #MOTD around here...I decided to share this one with you because I've been playing around a lot with my Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette & Eye Contour Palette (click the links for full review & swatches of these palettes).

I tend to go for very neutral and matte makeup on a pretty regular basis because that's my comfort zone, but I'm always looking for ways to make it look fun and slightly different than before. I decided to get a little crazy with both palettes to achieve a more glam/sophisticated makeup look that is still wearable for daytime. These KVD contour palettes are super versatile! So, I hope you enjoy the product breakdown and give this makeup look a try. Have fun! ☺

My 1st GLOSSYBOX! {Review & First Impression}

Hello, my pretties! ♥

In the past few years, subscription boxes have become all the rage. Beauty subscription boxes were not left behind in this sales strategy and several are out in the market. And I...have been avoiding them like the plague (keepin' it real here). My biggest fear was that I would be dissatisfied with my box or that it wouldn't be worth whatever monthly amount I was paying; however, I am a convert. My mind has been changed all thanks to my very 1st GLOSSYBOX!

Well, after much research...and, by that, I mean so much research I was driving the Mr. crazy by asking him his opinion about makeup on pretty much a daily basis (keep in mind I was asking him about a subject he could care less about). Finally, I decided on 2 beauty subscription boxes: GLOSSYBOX and ipsy*. They were the two with the highest reviews and the least consumer disappointments.

GLOSSYBOX is $21 per month. Shipping & handling are free. And, you receive 5 luxury products that can be either makeup, nailcare, skincare, haircare or fragrance depending on your beauty profile (further information about this below). Also as you review products you receive glossydots, which are, basically collectable points. For every 1000 glossydots you collect, you get a free box. Sweet, huh?

If you're interested in the entire review & several images
of the opening of my 1st GLOSSYBOX, just keep reading!

Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette {Review & Swatches}

Hello, my pretties! ♥

When I heard there would be a companion eyeshadow palette to the Kat Von D Shade + Light Contour Palette, I lost it. Yes. I was a happy wreck. KVD's contour palette has been a favorite product of mine since I acquired it and having an eyeshadow palette as a continuation of that was just the cherry on top. A lot of you have requested I do a review of this palette and your wish is my command. So, here you have my full review of the Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette. Enjoy!
