Sally Hansen Miracle Gel {Review}

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Review

Hello, my pretties! ♥

The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel nail polishes came out a few months back and, I must admit, I was very curious. The entire concept is pretty cool: it's a 2-step system - a nail polish and a gel top coat that you don't have to cure under a UV light. Sounds interesting, huh?

Let me start by saying this: I hate putting nail polish on my nails. I'm a mom of 2 little boys, so I'm constantly running my hands under water and having to pry things out of their mouths. Nail polish doesn't last more than a couple of days, if I'm lucky, and that's with proper nail prep and everything (I'll talk about that in a minute). So, the idea of a gel nail polish that I don't have to go to the nail salon for every 2 weeks or have to cure under dangerous UV lights definitely made me wonder if it was worth spending the money on this nail polish system.

I purchased my Sally Hansen Miracle Gel at Walmart because that was the place where I found it cheapest. Each bottle of gel nail polish retails for $7.97 to $11.99, depending where you buy it. Keep in mind you need 2 bottles, so you will spend the price for each bottle. Even with spending this much per bottle for drugstore nail polish, it still comes out to be cheaper than spending at least $30 at the nail salon every visit.

Here's what Sally Hansen claims, "The ONLY TRUE 2-STEP GEL MANICURE with no light needed. Over 45 shades that wow! And it's only from Sally Hansen. Leading the revolution in gel technology." The company also claims this gel nail polish gives you up to 14 days of color and shine.

Colors the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel comes in!

Let's see if they lived up to the expectations...

Home Sweet Home! ♥ {Part IV} Boys Bedroom

Hello, my pretties! ♥

It has been a while since I posted home decor around here. As you can imagine we're still not even close to being done with our place, but it's slowly coming together. I'm sure it'll be perfect by the time we have to move again LOL Happens all the time... As far as proximity to being finished, the boys room is the one that takes the blue ribbon for almost getting there. And luckily, we recently found what to put on their walls to finalize the last touches. Yay!

For their bedroom, we wanted a space that was not just fun for them to be in but also functional for us to take care of their needs. I love that it's so open and bright + they get a perfect view of the outside, which they love. They are especially fond of the garbage truck coming twice a week and seeing such a big piece of machinery put to work. I get reminded that for boys of all ages it's all about big machines, all sorts of vehicles, and the latest gadgets. Our boys are no exception...

Enjoy! ☺

Beauty Haul #1

Beauty Haul #1 @iheartoffbeat

Hello, my pretties! ♥

Here's my first beauty haul of 2015. These are some of the products I have gotten recently. No, I didn't buy everything in one shot (before you start giving me crap). Some of these products were Christmas gifts, some others I've had for a couple months, and some others I bought to replace products I recently used up. Here's a list of everything you see in the image:

1. Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish
This is a 2-part process: the nail color & the gel top coat. The color I chose is 120 Bare Dare, which is a beautiful nude color. I'm already editing the review that I'll be posting pretty soon.

The name says it all & it's definitely one of my favorite skincare lines from the drugstore.

3. Garnier Clean+ Shine Control Cleansing Gel
Recently I changed to this product & have been using it for about 2 weeks. It is designed with activated charcoal for oily skin.

4. Victoria's Secret Perfumes
• VS Bombshell Body Mist (Fruity Floral)
• VS Heavenly  Body Mist (Warm) [Not Pictured]
• VS Pink Oh What Fun Body Mist [Limited Edition] (Fruity Floral)

5. Lush Cosmetics
You can see the entire haul here!

6. Covergirl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation in 120 Nude Beige
Since Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 foundation is my all-time drugstore favorite foundation, I thought I would give this a whirl. I'm currently in the testing process...

7. Maybelline FIT ME! Matte & Poreless Foundation in 120 Classic Ivory
Another foundation I'm currently testing to see how well it works against my oily skin...

8. NYX Cosmetics Products
Makeup Setting Spray in Matte Finish - This is a repurchase.
Butter Gloss in Γ‰clair (Pink)
Soft Matte Lip Cream in Istanbul (Clean Pink)
• Soft Matte Lip Cream in Tokyo (Bubblegum Pink) [Not Pictured]

Are there any products you would like me to review or swatch? Let me know!

Milani Cosmetics Rose Powder Blushes

Hello, my pretties! ♥

On the Summer of 2013, Milani came out with the 1st (limited edition) of the Rose Powder Blushes and I was fast to get them. When I tell you I was fast, I mean I was fast. Then last year, they came out with a 2nd edition (also limited) of brighter Rose Blushes that were as much of a hit with Milani fans everywhere. I didn't get any of those because...duh duh duuuuhhnnnn... they were sold out everywhere by the time I got to the displays. Ugh. I just ogle over Nouveau Cheap's blog post about them. Yes, I'm "blush jealous", but still happy I managed to snag the entire collection of the 1st edition. If you're curious, you can see my personal collection here. These are some of the best blushes I own and are, without a doubt, absolute favorites in my collection.

Well, guess what? Milani has taken the most favorited blushes out of both limited editions released in the past 2 years and made them permanent. Yup, you read that right! PER-MUH-NENT. If you didn't try them before and still wish to do so or you're just looking for good quality blushes that don't break the bank, the Milani Cosmetics Rose Powder Blushes are definitely some you should check out.

Even better, I have a preview of these blushes just for you. I'm waiting for my mail person to get here with my samples coming directly from Milani Cosmetics PR, so I can give you a full review on them and swatches galore. For now, let's just enjoy the pretty stamped rose pattern these gorgeous blushes have...

Spring is right around the corner. And with that, come all the new Spring collections full of beautiful colors. Are you as excited as I am? I really hope so!

I know a few weeks back I said I wouldn't do any more sponsored posts; however, when I was contacted by Milani's PR to see if I would be remotely interested in reviewing their new matte lipsticks, I just about had a heart attack. No, Seriously. Milani Cosmetics is one of my all-time favorite drugstore makeup brands. I'm making one serious exception because I REALLY love their products. Honestly, I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to check out this new line of lipsticks just released for this Spring season and share with you guys!

Now, I don't have the lipsticks in my possession just yet *dies of anguish*  BUT I do have a small preview of all the colors. Since I know you're just as excited as I am to check them out, here you have the Milani Cosmetics Color Statement Moisture Matte Lipsticks in all their wondrous glory:
