Milani Bella Eyes Review

Hello, my pretties! ♥

I think it's time we get back to beauty...

Milani Cosmetics came out with the Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow Collection this last fall and I've been using them on & off since I got them back at the beginning of September. A lot of you are curious about them and, even though they are not exactly new on the market, I would like to share my thoughts on these single eyeshadows. Enjoy!

Milani Cosmetics claims, "A gel powder. Rich, vibrant color that glides on in a single stroke, delivering a stunning multi-dimensional effect. It can be used wet or dry, resists creasing, and comes in satin-matte, shimmer, and iridescent metallic finishes. You have to try this gel powder. It's that different."

First and foremost, I would like to say: Hooray! for drugstore brands stepping up their makeup game. I have been quite impressed lately with the wonderful quality. Long gone are the days when we thought of makeup brands caliber as sub-par. Milani Cosmetics is definitely one drugstore brand that is giving high-end brands a good run for their money. And, to be completely honest, these eyeshadows are some of the best additions to my personal makeup collection.

The finish of these eyeshadows is quite unique - they originally start the process with a pigmented gel that goes through various stages to remove any liquid. The procedure leaves behind a stunningly creamy powder full of pure color that has amazing staying power and blends like a dream. Yup. These eyeshadows are amazing!

The process Milani Cosmetics uses to create Bella Eyes is quite innovative. It gives these eyeshadows a weightless formula that is crease-resistant. It's perfect for those days when you want your makeup to stay put for 8+ hours because is formulated for all-day wear. You can use them dry for a soft effect or, if you want a more vibrant look, you can use them with a wet brush and foil them onto your lids. No matter what method you choose, these eyeshadows will perform flawlessly.

In the Bella Eyes collection, there ares 30 single eyeshadows in total. So far, I have purchased 6 of them. The colors I bought were: 01 Bella Ivory (Satin Matte), 02 Bella Sand (Shimmer), 04 Bella Caffé (Satin Matte), 06 Bella Espresso (Satin Matte), 24 Bella Bronze (Metallic) & 28 Bella Chiffon (Highlighter/Shimmer)These were the colors that caught my attention the most, but I plan on getting some more in the future.

Check out the pigmentation!
This image was taken in daytime. No primer was applied.

They are also priced quite reasonably. Each eyeshadow retails from $3.99 to $5.49, depending on where you buy them. You can buy them directly from the Milani website, Walmart, Walgreens, CVS Pharmacy, and some Target stores carry them too.

I bought mine at CVS with a discount coupon. Each eyeshadow came out to about $2.58 each with my ExtraCare Rewards card (including tax). So, I highly suggest for discount codes or pharmacy coupons to take advantage & get them for a really good price ☺

Bella Ivory                                                                      Bella Sand

Bella Caffé                                                                Bella Espresso

Bella Bronze                                                                 Bella Chiffon

The packaging on these beauties is a sight to behold  - They come in a stunning gold casing that looks luxurious and elegant. The containers are pretty hardy. My only "complain" is that they are not very travel-friendly in the sense that they create too much bulk. Of course, they can always be depotted and placed in a Z Palette for traveling convenience. I don't normally travel with them, so the packaging doesn't bother me in the least.

Overall, I truly think the Milani Cosmetics Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadows are some of the best in the market and definitely recommend them to anyone looking for great quality yet inexpensive eyeshadows that actually live up to the hype.

Have you tried the Milani Cosmetics Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadows? If so, what did you think of them?

Hope everyone found this post helpful and that you're doing well.

Much love,
